What is the Odds Project about?
The Odds Project is a social enterprise run by Ugandan volunteers with the intention to help young Ugandans faced with problem gambling to rediscover themselves and break the gambling cycle.
We know that stories are powerful and we use storytelling to highlight the dangers of gambling and help those stack in the vice to rediscover themselves; learn from others and walk the recovery path.
The gambling industry in the country has experienced the fastest growth then any other sector in the country. In the last four years, according to media reports, the industry earnings jumped from Shs 500bn to Shs 8 trillion.
