About the Odds Project

The Odds Project is a Ugandan, volunteer-led social enterprise dedicated to helping young people overcome gambling addiction, rediscover their potential, and break the cycle of dependency on betting.

Stories possess unique power. We use them to highlight the risks of gambling and support those struggling with addiction. Through shared narratives, individuals can rediscover their identity, learn from peers, and successfully navigate the journey to recovery.”

The Power of Small Communities

The Odds Project Uganda (registered as Odds Project Management Services Ltd) harnesses the collective impact of small actions driven by close-knit communities.

We believe that the smallest efforts—rooted in sharing personal stories and lived experiences—can empower individuals seeking recovery or trying to turn the page on a gambling crisis. Within these supportive networks, members naturally reach out to friends and peers facing similar challenges.

Why Small Communities?

Every small action helps build a stronger, more resilient community. Small communities are profoundly powerful because they are built on a foundation of shared struggles, cultural understanding, deep empathy, and common values. These vital connections allow us to directly reach the individuals who need help most, breaking the cycle of gambling addiction from the ground up.

Campaigns & Impact

In these groups, members share stories, find humor in healing, and lift each other up through recovery. For example, through our organized small-group sessions, we explore a fundamental question: Who really wins—the gambler or the house? By the end of each session, members gain a clear, unshakeable understanding that the system is never designed to benefit the player. The house always wins.
